  1. I got a mailing today (from an SGML development firm which I will name
  2. upon request) asking $20,000 in advance for a beta copy of their Hytime
  3. engine.  From that bit of pricing information I gather
  4.  - a full Hytime engine in all its glory is going to be a lot of work
  5.    to write
  6.  - the marketplace is not very mature
  7.  
  8. Needless to say I have other things that I'd like to spend $20K on....
